LAHORE – Muhammad Abbas Sharif, younger brother of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, died of cardiac arrest while coming out of a mosque after Juma prayers.Abbas was rushed to Sharif Medical City Hospital for treatment but he could not survive. He was 58 and the youngest son of Mian Muhammad Sharif. The deceased has been survived by a widow, two daughters and two sons.A large number of people flocked to his residence in Raiwind to commiserate with Sharifs. The deceased was laid to rest in the evening on the side of Mian Muhammad Sharif at Jati Umra graveyard in Raiwind.  His funeral prayer, led by Maulana Raghib Naeemi, was attended by scores of people belonging to every walk of life. But he was not interested in politics and never contested election again. He was a religious person and a philanthropist.
