India responsible for floods in Pakistan, claims Siraj

LAHORE- Taking exception to the losses after heavy rains across Punjab and other parts of the country, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq today asked the National Disaster Management Authority to apprise nation of its measure taken to contain floods-related losses.

Inaugurating the relief camp of Al-Khimat Foundation in Lahore, the JI chief said a sum of Rs 10.3 million had been provided by the people of Lahore for flood-hit people. He said the current floods wreaked havoc on Pakistan as India released excessive water to Pakistani rivers. “These floods are the fifth Indian attack on Pakistan,” he said, adding India was responsible for floods-related destruction in Pakistan. “The government’s work has just confined to burying people [instead of the saving them from being fallen prey to the natural calamity,” said the JI emir. He appealed the Muslim countries to run fund-raising campaign for flood-affected people of Pakistan.
