KARACHI/THATTA: Citizens have expressed anger over ‘illegal’ collection of toll tax on an under construction road near Thatta district of Sindh.

The construction work to convert Karachi-Thatta single-lane road into two-way road is underway, however, the Sindh government’s Works and Service Department has established a toll plaza near Thatta and started collecting toll from the drivers.

Locals have expressed anger, stating that subjecting them to unnecessary toll payment was unjustified.

Reportedly, traffic flow has increased on Karachi-Thatta-Hyderabad route due to diversion following commencement of construction work at Karachi-Hyderabad motorway.
