Multan-A girl sustained serious acid burns when her estranged brother-in-law tried to douse her sister with acid in Gulgasht police area on Wednesday.
Aroosa was passing through Naka Chowk along with her sister Anum and mother when Imran emerged from a side street and threw acid on them. The girl was rushed to Nishtar Hospital with serious burn injuries. Police succeeded to arrest the assailant Imran and his accomplice Shahbaz.
Family sources said that Imran and his wife Anum were currently separated and a case for the dissolution of their marriage was pending in a local court. Anum also received miner acid burn but she was stated to be out of danger.
