Expressing grave concern over the ongoing escalation on the Line of Control and along the Working Boundary following frequent unprovoked Indian firing, the Jammu & Kashmir People’s National Party (JKPNP) called upon the United Nations to move for getting the tension reduced and resolve the core dispute of Jammu and Kashmir under the spirit of the UN resolutions according to the aspirations of Kashmiris.
Talking to newsmen here, JK PNP Central Secretary General Raja Zulfiqar Ahmed said that recent independent media reports from both countries including the Indian press spoke of the war hysteria created by hardliner Prime Minister Narrindra Modi-led new Indian government through the unprovoked penetration and violation of the ceasefire on the LoC and Working Boundary.
He underlined that unprovoked Indian shelling at various locations on the LoC and WB was obviously causing massive loss of human lives and property.
“The ongoing escalation of tension on LoC and WB following the frequent unprovoked Indian shelling on the forward areas of AJK and Pakistan facing Indian held Jammu & Kashmir reflected the aggressive posture of Prime Minister Narrindra Modi-led hardliners in the region”, he commented.
Zulfiqar called upon the UN Secretary General to take immediate notice of the aggressive Indian designs in the region which may prove to be detrimental to the regional and even the global peace.
The JKPNP leader said that prevailing unrest on the LoC and WB was a matter of grave concern for the peace-loving forces including people of Jammu & Kashmir who seek early peaceful settlement of all outstanding issues including the core issue of Jammu & Kashmir through a meaningful dialogue between Pakistan and India.
