ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force Monday jointly undertook successful live missile firings in the North Arabian Sea, sources said.

Although there was no official comment from Pakistan Navy nor its spokesperson was available for remarks, the Radio Pakistan reported that the front line combat units of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force undertook live missile firings.

It said that Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Zakaullah and Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman witnessed the live missile on board PNS ASLAT.

The radio report further said the joint conducting of missile firing by Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force was reflective of high state of readiness, professionalism and synergy in joint Pakistan Navy-Pakistan Air Force operations.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zakaullah, the report said, expressed satisfaction about the operational readiness of the PN fleet and lauded the effective contribution of the PAF in the maritime domain. He reaffirmed the resolve of the Pakistan’s Armed Forces to defend territorial integrity of the country at all costs.
