Mandi Bahauddin  - Another leader of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) Hafiz Muhammad was gunned down by unidentified men in Bosal village of Mandi Bahauddin on Sunday.
As per details, three men equipped with arms reached the house of ASWJ regional president Hafiz Muhammad in Bosal village. They barged into his house and started torturing his son Muhammad Tayyab on gunpoint. Listening to the noise, Hafiz Muhammad rushed outside to rescue his son but miscreants sprayed bullets on him, killing him on the spot. Thereafter, the alleged attackers took four mobile phones and cash amounting to Rs 1,200 from the house and fled away on a motorcycle.
A police team headed by DSP Headquarters reached the crime scene and shifted the body to THQ Hospital Malakwal for post-mortem. After registering a case against three unidentified attackers, police were investigating the matter.
Agencies add: A day after killing of senior JUI-S leader Mufti Usman Yar Khan in Karachi, three local leaders associated with Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat were killed on Saturday in an armed attack in Sargodha.
Meanwhile, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) has asked its office-bearers to beef up their security, besides avoiding unnecessary movement in the wake of the recent terror attacks on party leaders.
According to sources, ASWJ leadership has advised its party leaders across the country and especially in Punjab and Sindh to enhance their security and restrict their movements as the ASWJ is on the hit list of miscreants.
It merits mentioning here that ASWJ leaders have came under attack in Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin and Karachi in the last few days.
Separately, talking to media persons in Dariya Khan on the funeral prayers of two party leaders murdered in Sargodha terror attack, ASWJ chief Allama Muhammad Ahmed Ludhianvi said trioca comprising India, Israel and Iran working under the patronage of US was involved in creating anarchy and destabilising Pakistan.
He termed the attacks on ASWJ leadership as a pre-planned conspiracy to create misunderstandings and breeding hatred among different sects. He also criticised the district administration of Bhakkar for withdrawing security of ASWJ leaders providing an opportunity to terrorists to fulfill their nefarious designs.
Allama Ludhianvi said that issue of targeted actions against ASWJ leaders would be raised at provincial level and other national fora as well.
