Umair Baloch gets PMLN's NA-154 ticket

MULTAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has finally given a ticket for by elections  in NA-154 to former member of National Assembly (MNA) Siddique Khan Baloch’s son, Umair Khan.

The ticket has been presented to District Returning Officer (DRO) Ghulam Israr. Umair Khan Baloch has started campaigning for the election.

A tense competition is likely to happen between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretary general Jahangir Tareen and PML-N’s Baloch. The elections will be held on October 11.

Siddique Khan Baloch had won the seat in 2013 as independent candidate and later joined PML-N. However, he was disqualified for life for submitting fake degree and on rigging allegations.

Separately, an appeal against the verdict of the tribunal in NA-154 has been accepted for hearing in court.
