ISLAMABAD - While the government is making its efforts to appease its coalition partner MQM, the latter has so far resisted the pressure of government regarding rejoining the cabinet. Although PPP has won MQM back in the coalition, yet it has not so far made them rejoin the cabinet even after offering other ministries in the federal cabinet, MQM sources told The Nation here on Friday. The background discussion with the sources said that the party was not being offered much vibrant or active ministries in the federal cabinet. This was also one of the reasons behind not accepting the demand of re-joining cabinet as earlier it had complained about giving dormant and less effective ministry which has not much role in policy making. The sources said that MQM may take some time to take any decision in this regard. Earlier, after hectic negotiations between PPP and MQM, the latter had decided to sit on the government benches in the Parliament but decided not to join cabinet.
