Sartaj Aziz reiterates government's resolve to eradicate scourge of terrorism for peace

ISLAMABAD- Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has reiterated the government's resolve to eradicate scourge of terrorism for peace and stability in the region.

He was talking to Director of Agency for State Material Reserves of Tajikistan Nur Muhammad Atoevich in Islamabad. Atoevich expressed Tajikistan's desire to use Pakistani ports for its foreign trade. Stressing the need to promote bilateral trade, he said his country wants import of sugar, wheat and potatoes from Pakistan.

Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan attaches great importance to its ties with Tajikistan. He assured that Pakistan will extend every possible cooperation to Tajikistan in diverse fields.

The Tajik delegation also called on Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and discussed ways to promote bilateral relations and trade. Tariq Fatemi said Pakistan is looking forward to early completion of energy projects launched by the two countries.
