Siraj condemns execution of JI leader in Bangladesh

LAKKI MARWAT - Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq has condemned the execution of JI Bangladesh Secretary General Ali Hasan Mujahid by government of Bangladesh for his support to Pakistan in 1971.
He said that the day is black day for Pakistan and the government should break its silence on the issue.
He said this while addressing a big public meeting in Mandan Park Bannu, some 65 kilometres away from here on Sunday.
“The only crime Ali Hasan Mujahid committed was to support Pakistan, its army and ideology of Pakistan in 1971”, Siraj said and asked Bangladeshi government not to dig up old matters. He also said that Bangladeshi government was taking revenge from political opponents and asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to condemn execution of JI leaders in Bangladesh, which had perturbed the entire nation.
The JI leader said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wanted liberal Pakistan ignoring the fact the millions of people gave sacrifices and faced sufferings for an Islamic state in the sub-continent.
He said the country was being run on loans borrowed from World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the entire nation had been enslaved by United States and Europe.
“The pro-America and IMF policies will weaken the economy besides bringing surge in the miseries of common men”, he maintained, asking the government to rely on its own resources and refrain from borrowing loans and implementing the agenda of Western countries and organizations.
He said the JI, if voted to power, would enforce Islamic justice system and uniform education system in the country.
He said that quick justice would be delivered to the poor masses in the light of injunctions of Holy Quran. “Instead of making US and Europe model we will establish an Islamic welfare State on the pattern of Madina”, he added.
Describing the sufferings of temporarily displaced tribesmen he called upon the government to repatriate them to their hometowns without any further delay. He asked the people to learn from past experiences and reject those politicians who plundered the national wealth with both hands.
He reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami would bring a true Islamic revolution with the support of masses, which would pave the way for resolution of all problems and crises the country was facing.
JI Provincial Chief Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, former Senator Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Bannu chapter ameer Dr Naser Khan and Lakki Marwat district chapter ameer Mufti Irfanullah also spoke on the occasion.
