ISLAMABAD- Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says Pakistan-US strategic and economic relations are advancing towards betterment.
Talking to Voice of America, he said US Secretary of State John Kerry is expected to visit Pakistan in the beginning of next year. He said, Pakistan wants good political economic and security relations with Afghanistan. The advisor said the recent visit of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was very successful and useful beyond expectations.
He said, both the countries have agreed of a mechanism to address issue of security on the border. He said a new phase of relation between Pakistan and Afghanistan has started.
To a question, Sartaj Aziz said tension on eastern border has affected the ongoing operation against terrorists in North Waziristan.
