Swat jolted by quake measuring 5.2 magnitude

SWAT:-An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude Sunday jolted Swat and its adjoining areas on second consecutive day. According to a TV channel, people rushed out of their homes to escape any looming disaster, however no reports of casualties reported. The quake was centered near Hindukush region in Afghanistan at a depth of 80 kilometres, sending people fleeing and shaking buildings in Chitral, Swat, Malakand and adjoining areas.–APP
On January 23, earthquake jolts were also felt in Swat while the duration of the earthquake was said to be between 15-20 seconds.
The earthquake’s depth was recorded at 72 metres and it was recorded as 5.0 magnitude by the Met Department.
