PESHAWAR- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government formally launched its online system in the province to control the prices of essential commodities during the Holy month of Ramadan-Ul-Mubarak. This would be a facet of the Pakhtunkhwa government’s special reforms initiative.
This information was revealed at a high-level meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Khalid Pervez on the special directives of the Chief Secretary in Peshawar. The meeting informed that with this system the general public would be able to lodge their complaints through phone, email and an online portal whereby immediate action over these would prevail.
As per the Chief Secretary’s direction, the Directorate of Information Technology nominated focal persons in all districts and had them properly trained on the Food Price Control System. The focal person would need to update the prices of different commodities fixed by the government in various districts that would also be posted on the portal.
All the magistrates were tasked to ensure price control at the government’s prescribed rates.
