Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said no one will meddle in the affairs of interior ministry in the future. Nisar Ali Khan is in charge of country's security and can take independent decisions, he said.

This was assured by PM Nawaz Sharif to estranged interior minister Nisar Ali Khan during a meeting as part of reconciliatory efforts propelled by Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif to hammer out simmering differences between Nawaz Sharif and Nisar Ali Khan.

According to our sources, the meeting was also attended by CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, governor KPK Mehtab Khan Abbasi, finance minister Ishaq Dar, Saad Rafiq, Pervez Rashid and other PML-N leaders.

Nisar expressed his reservations over not taking him into confidence on the issues of SP Irum Abbasi, senate elections, cantonment board elections and other party matters.
