GHALANAI - A soldier embraced martyrdom and two others sustained injuries when militants attacked a checkpost from across the border in Mohmand Agency. An official of local administration told The Nation nearly 30-40 militants attacked Al-Ghazi Checkpost in Ghalanai area of Safi tehsil from Afghanistan early Thursday with small arms and fled after retaliatory fire from security forces. Soldier Shakeel Afridi was killed while two others Lance Niak Saeed Afridi and Lance Naik Sajid Utman Khel were injured.–
