Japanese PM assures readiness to extend assistance for earthquake victims

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Fumio Kishida, have expressed their heartfelt condolences and deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of lives and property in Pakistan due to the strong earthquake occurred on 26th of October and offered their immediate necessary assistance in earthquake affected areas.

In his letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Abe said, “On behalf of the Government of Japan, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their bereaved families.” The Japanese Prime Minister said that Japan, as a friend of Pakistan, is ready to extend immediate necessary assistance and sincerely wished the earliest rescue and recovery in the earthquake affected areas.

Mr. Fumio Kishida, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, in his letter to Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, also expressed his condolences and sympathies to the victims and their bereaved families. He also expressed Japan’s readiness to extend immediate necessary assistance in the earthquake hit areas.
