PESHAWAR- Six suspected militants were killed and two others were injured today in a US drone strike in the Shawal area of North Waziristan Agency.
According to intelligence sources, US drone fired two missiles on a compound and a vehicle near Shawal valley.
The identity of the militants is yet to be determined. According to a survey conducted last year, 66 percent of the country's citizens oppose drone strikes.
Pakistan Army launched operation Zarb-i-Azb against Taliban militants in the region. The offensive has driven out over 800,000 residents from North Waziristan and the army says it has cleared 90 percent of the region.
