ISLAMABAD- Around 2500 personnel including policemen, security guards and mosque guards will perform security duties during the holy month of Ramadan and will ensure arrangements in various areas.

This is part of an elaborate security plan that has been devised for Ramadan by the Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, the head of Islamabad Police Chief, IGP Aftab Ahmed Cheema and his team (including SSP Islamabad Muhammad Ali Nekokar).

As per the plan, 2500 security men will perform special duties at 720 mosques and 39 imam-bargahs. The guards will be deployed to secure the places of worship in Islamabad during Ramadan. These security arrangements shall be supervised by five SPs while Additional SHO will conduct security checking during the times of prayer.
