Kasuri condemns attacks in Karachi



KASUR - PTI leader Khursheed Mahmood Kasuri has condemned the series of terrorist attacks in Karachi.
He was talking to media at his party office here on Sunday. Kasuri termed the terrorist attacks a coward bid to stop the electoral process and urged the whole nation to denounce the terrorism. He said though delay in election could benefit the PTI but it was not in the favor of democratic structure.
The PTI leader said that all parties should show political maturity during and after the elections and accept the election results courageously. He said that nation had paid heavily for the revival of democracy, adding that agencies, political parties, and caretaker government should show responsibility and let the process culminate.
Kasuri said that nation’s weaknesses gives way to foreign hands to interfere in state’s affair.
 He stressed that election process was not against Islam as there had always been practice of consultancy (Mashawarat) during the times of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said that eminent scholars of the Muslim world had also declared the democratic process in accordance with Islam.
Kasuri insisted that any party which forms government should strive to remove poverty, the main cause of terrorism, and ensure social justice so that masses could enjoy the fruit of democracy.
