Justice Shakirullah Jan on Monday took oath as acting chief justice of Pakistan. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Supreme Court, which was attended by SC judges, prominent lawyers and officials. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has gone to the UK to receive the International Jurists Award for his efforts for a free judiciary in the country.
