MULTAN- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is also current Sajjada Nashin- custodian of the Mausoleum of Hazrat Baha-ud-din Zakariya Multani, was ‘dethroned’ as Sajjada Nashin of the shrine of the great saint.
Qureshi’s younger brother, Mureed Hussain Qureshi today announced that Shah Mehmood was dismissed as Sajjada Nashin of the Mausoleum, on the demand of the followers of Hazrat Baha-ud-din Zakariya Multani from Sindh.
Mureed Hussain said that there was disenchantment among the devotees of Hazrat Baha-ud-din, especially from Sindh over Qureshi’s using of the office of custodianship for his political motives and interests. He proclaimed that Shah Mehmood was no more the custodial of the shrine from now onward.
