Rs350m to be spent on roads

SHEIKHUPURA -The Punjab government has sanctioned Rs350 million for Sheikhupura to carry out mega projects including three under by-passes on Sargodha Road near National Model School, Ghazi Minara and Gujranwala Road, said a lawmaker.
Talking to media at Press Club here on Saturday evening MNA Mian Javaid Latif said that the three districts of Lahore Division - Sheikhupura, Nankana and Kasoor - have been included in Lahore Development Authority, according to a notification issued by the CM Secretariat.
Similarly, both the sides of Lahore-Sargodha Road would be expanded. The other thoroughfare including Sarwar Shaeed Road, Stadium Road and others would also be expanded.
He said greenbelts on Sharqpur Chowk would be built with the collaboration of PHA. The PHA would also construct greenbelts, Latif said.
Streetlights in all the roads and parks would be installed. He said the 95pc traders had not only appreciated the project but also pledged to extend every possible support in this connection.
