Football coach shot dead

KHARAN - Gunmen killed a football coach in Balochistan’s Kharan district on Friday while police were still clueless about two labourers abducted from district Gwadar the other day.

The football coach was identified as Nazar Baloch. Nazar had also been a prominent player of football in the past.

A senior police officer in Kharan district said Nazar was busy in building a house when he was targeted. He said assailants shot him in the head which resulted in his death on the spot.

Police have registered a case in this regard and started investigations into the incident. Referring the initial information, the police officer said that it was a target killing incident.

Separately, police were still clueless about the two labourers abducted from district Gwadar’s Ormara area the other day. A Levies Force official said that eight labourers were laying optic fiber in the area when unidentified armed men kidnapped them. However, six of them were released later. The abductors took away the two labourers to some unknown place. Levies Force official further said that one of the abductees belonged to Karachi and the other was from Balochistan’s Khuzdar district. Many such incidents have already taken place in Gwadar and its adjacent district Ketch in the past when labourers were abducted.  

A labourer of tehsil Kabal was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Quetta, family sources said in Swat Friday.

Abdur Razzaq son of Fazle Khaliq, a resident of Sar Senay, was in Quetta for labour work but killed by gunmen.

The relatives proceeded to Quetta for taking the dead body to the native town.
