Three alleged human traffickers apprehended in Rawat, Taxila

Rawalpindi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has claimed to have apprehended three alleged human traffickers and recovered fake passports and documents from the suspects during raids in Rawat and Taxila.

On a tip-off, the FIA raided a hideout in Rawat, today and rounded up a proclaimed offender identified as Abbasi Kashmir, who was wanted by the FIA since 2015.

On another tip-off, the FIA conducted a raid in Taxila area today and detained two persons identified as Tasawwur and Waqar Hussain. The FIA seized four passports, some fake documents and a stamp from their possessions.

The suspects had established a construction company in Taxila and were also involved in fraud, taking millions of rupees from various persons on the false pretence of sending them to Saudi Arabia.

The human traffickers have been shifted to Anti-Human Trafficking cell for further investigations.
