Geo clarifies its position on anti-Ahmadiyya content

KARACHI- Geo spokesman today clarified that a comment made by a guest during the transmission’s morning show, Subh-e-Pakistan, on December 22 had violated the code of conduct. He said it is difficult to control all guests having individual mindset.

He added the network believes in tolerance and has always promoted harmony between various denominations. Controversial anti-Ahmadiyya remarks made during a religious show hosted by Amir Liaquat Hussain had stimulated debate.

The spokesperson further apologized for any offensive content and said that the channel’s policy was consistent with Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority laws.
