Dy Mayor Vohra vows to bring foreign investment in Karachi

KARACHI: Deputy Mayor of Karachi, Dr Arshad Vohra, said today that he would bring foreign investment for mega projects of the metropolis.

Speaking to media personnel at the Old KMC building in Karachi, Vohra said that the city's sources of income had almost depleted and lack of resources were causing hindrances. He said that the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) would focus on increasing the income of Karachi. 

"If we make the recovery of KMC better, only then will the performance of the institution be enhanced," he said. 

Dr. Vohra after assuming responsibilities as Deputy Mayor of Karachi held a meeting with various members of the KMC. 

Dr. Arshad Vohra was sworn in as the Deputy Mayor of Karachi after fellow MQM member, Waseem Akhtar, took oath of office as the Mayor of Karachi. Both individuals had promised to provide exemplary administration to Karachi and have urged everyone to work together for the betterment of the city.
