Nawaz says Govt exceeding from its mandate

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif has said that the present government was exceeding from its mandate, adding that people had not voted it for the  current situation. Addressing a huge public meeting in Matli on Thursday, the PML-N Chief said his party wanted to get rid of what he called ‘corrupt PPP rulers’ and demanded free, fair and transparent elections in the country. He said that people gave votes to the PPP for the resolution of their problems including energy and law and order situation. He pointed out that the PPP got maximum number of votes in Sindh but today Sindhis were suffering the most. He asked President Asif Ali Zardari to speak on country’s issues after proper thinking.  PML-N chief vowed that PML-N would never allow the division of Sindh. He said people took out Sindh solidarity rally against division of the Province but twelve people were killed by firing and no one took notice of that unfortunate incident. He said during devastating floods of year 2010 and heavy rains last year, millions of people in the province were rendered homeless and the PPP took no action and measures for their rehabilitation. He said it was the Punjab government that came to the relief of the marooned people. He asked the people not to vote for PPP in the next elections. He said Yousuf Raza Gilani should accept the judgment of the Supreme Court and submit his resignation after being convicted in the contempt of court case as he has no right to remain in office. He said that PML-N finished ‘Dacoit Raj’ from Sindh during its tenure and there was no load-shedding during that period. The PML-N chief said that people have been forced into the pond of problems by the present rulers. Nawaz Sharif said unemployment, price hike was on the rise while the load shedding instead of coming down was increasing day by day. He said there is no electricity for 18 hours in a day but when people receive bills, they get highly agitated. He said the real issue is not of electricity but of cheap electricity. Nawaz Sharif said he has not come to Sindh for seeking votes but to tell the people that national security was in danger.  He said people were being killed in Karachi and the government has failed to maintain law and order.
