Five killed in Balochistan blast, firing

QUETTA - At least five people were killed and a child was wounded in a bomb blast and firing incidents in two different parts of Balochistan on Wednesday. As per official sources, two persons were carrying an improvised explosive device on a motorbike in Soorab area of Kalat district some 250 kilometres south of provincial capital. The explosive device went off with a big bang, when it fell on the road, killing both of them on the spot. They were identified as Munir Ahmed and Saeed. Police said it has registered a case and started investigation. In the second incident, three persons including a woman were killed and a child was wounded in firing incident in Dera Bugti district. The incident occurred in Loti area of Dera Bugti when unidentified people entered into the house of a pro-government Bugti tribesman and killed three persons including Mamo Chandarani Bugti, his wife and another person identified as Imdad. While a child Munawar also sustained injuries in the attack. He was shifted to PPL Hospital for medical aid. On being informed, police and other personnel of law enforcement agencies reached the site and cordoned off area. However, no group has accepted responsibility for the attack on house of Bugti tribesman. Police have registered a case against unknown people and started investigation.
