Yusuf Haroon passes away at 95

NEW YORK (APP) - Yusuf Haroon, who was a prominent Muslim League leader and a close aid of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, passed away in New York on Saturday after protracted illness. He was 95.The end came at New York Hospital where he was admitted for the past few months. His wife, Pasha Haroon, was at his side. They had no children. According to sources in their family, arrangements were being made to take his body to his hometown, Karachi, for burial. During his long and illustrious career, Haroon served as mayor of Karachi (1944-45), chief minister of Sindh (1949-50) and governor of West Pakistan (1969).
