SWAT - Senior worker of Jamaati Islami and former Education Director Mohammad Zamir Khan was killed when some unknown armed persons opened fire on him on Thursday. As per details the former Education Director was on his way to his house in Kabul area when unknown persons opened fire on him and seriously injured him. He was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital Saidu Sharief Swat, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital. Kabul Police registered FIR and started investigation. It is worth mentioning that target killings, dacoities and kidnappings for ransom are on the rise in the volatile Swat district especially in Tehsil Kabul and Tehsil Matta, while the police of these areas are reluctant to register FIRs about such incidents and easily make excuses regarding the presence of Taliban in the area.
