Rabbani takes sweet revenge from adversaries

ISLAMABAD All hats are off to Senator Mian Raza Rabbani and his team of the Parliamentarians for steering the boat of Constitutional Reforms Committee of the Parliament from turbulent waters and bringing up to the shores consensus draft of constitutional amendments to revive the real spirit of 1973 constitution. Senator Mian Raza Rabbani has further raised his political stature though his political acumen and sagacity and it was all due to his uprightness and strength of character that all the members of the Committee respected him and he has managed to take difficult decisions with consensus. It was surely a major surgery of the 1973 Constitution and it could safely be termed as the rewriting of the Constitution removing all the anomalies introduced in it by the dictatorial regimes in the past. One of the members of the Committee praising Senator Mian Raza Rabbani said that it was the enormous respect, which Mian Raza Rabbani enjoyed among the Parliamentarians that the Herculean task of constitutional reforms was accomplished with ease and consensus. Another member of the Committee said that Mian Raza Rabbani had proved himself to be a real heir of Late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Ms Benazir Bhuttos politics and at the same time he had proved the incumbent political leadership of PPP wrong who had ignored and discarded him. A senior PPP leader said that had the party leadership not pushed leaders like Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, Mian Raza Rabbani and Safdar Abbassi, the things would have been different now. He further said that it was time for the PPP top-brass to reflect on the events of the past and honour those who had served the cause of the party and not the party leaders in their personal and private capacity, as it was the only way to take the party back to glory and make it a true representatives of the poor masses. Another PPP central leader commenting on the landmark achievement of the Constitutional Reforms Committee of the Parliament said that though all the members of the Committee had contributed toward this end but the role of Mian Raza Rabbani as its chairman was appallingly conspicuous. It was the Mian Raza Rabbani who stood by the party and democracy even in the worst times when non other but his own party Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari had ignored him on a number of occasion. But instead licking his wounds and cursing his fate he came back fighting and raised his political stature to untouchable heights by accomplishing a gigantic task of introducing Aghaz-I-Haqooq-I-Balochistan Package and now the consensus draft of constitutional reforms to prove his party leadership wrong which had attempted to make him a political orphan. Mian Raza Rabbani has taken a sweet revenge from all his political adversaries both within the party and outside and this is what he had learnt from his Shaheed leader Ms Benazir Bhuttodemocracy is a best revenge.
