KARACHI- The Pakistan Meteorological Department today predicted heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Heavy rains are expected in Malakand, Makran, Kalat and Gilgit-Baltistan within the next 24 hours.

Excess rainfall may cause flooding along connected riverbanks. Also, lighter rains are expected in Sindh, south Punjab and Balochistan. According to our sources, there is no threat of a tropical cyclone within Pakistan's sea limits.
