LAHORE - Lahore Gymkhana Colts beat Descon by nine wickets in the first match of non professional group of the SPM League on Tuesday. Dipel (Descon) scored 200 for nine wickets in 30 overs after batting first. Ijaz Saqib 63, Adeel Ashraf 55 and Yasir Ali 20 were the main batsmen. Mohsin Anwar took four while Ahmed Khan took three wickets. In reply Lahore Gymkhana Colts achieved the target for the loss of one wicket. Salim Malik (Test cricketer) scored 109 not out and Ahmed Khan 75. Salim Malik was declared man of the match. Adnan Rahseed and Raja Shahid supervised the match while Waris Ali was the scorer. In second match Aitchison College Staff beat Tahir Glass House by nine wickets. Tahir Glass House scored 132 for All out in allotted 30 overs. Salman Tahir scored 32, Mubashar Mehmood 18, Saad Ayub 14 and Hassan Ahmed 14 runs. Samul & Maqsood Ali took two wickets each. In reply Aitchison College Staff achieved the target for the loss of one wicket with Amir Razzaq 52 not out, Ashiq Hussain 38 not out and Muhammad Riaz 29. Ashiq Hussain was declared man of the match. Jawaid Ashraf and Muhammad Kaleem supervised the match while Zahid Inayat was the scorer.
