LAHORE - The Hassan Tariq Rahim Masters Cup (Invitational) Tennis Tournament will start today (Sunday) here at 11am at the Lahore Gymkhana Club hard courts under the aegis of Lahore Gymkhana Tennis Club (LGTC). Pakistan tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan along with other top ranked players will take part in the event which is being organised on format of recently-held ATP World Tour finals held in London. The tournament committee consists of LGTC secretary Mian Imran Ahmad, PLTA secretary M Bakhsh and tournament director Furqan Uddin Khan. Hassan Tariq Rahim, son of ex-Governor Punjab Khawaja Ahmad Tariq Rahim, passed away this June at the age of 46 years, due to cancer. In his commemoration and for promotion of tennis, the event is being staged.–Staff Reporter
