Imran Bucha withdraws his resignation

LAHORE - Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) president Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad has said that as a selector, Imran Bucha has withdrawn his resignation in the larger interest of Lahore's cricket.
Bucha decided to reverse his decision after a meeting which was presided over presidents of LCCA and West and North Zones, Noushad Ali and Masood Anwar. LCCA secretary Shoaib Dar and West Zone secretary Nawab Mansoor Hayat were also present.
"In the meeting, all the officials of the LCCA urged Imran Bucha to review his decision of stepping up and Bucha agreed in the interest of Lahore cricket,” said Nadeem here on Thursday. It may be mentioned here that Bucha resigned on undue criticism from some quarters on selection issues of Lahore teams for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
Nadeem played the role of a mediator and urged the participants of the meeting to remain united for meeting bigger challenges and to serve Lahore's cricket with commitment in near future. "Ups and downs come across in every responsibility but we must show better understanding and resolve to overcome problems,” said LCCA chief. He said participants of the meeting had a unanimous resolve to take tougher decisions for the betterment of the cricket setting aside favoritism and nepotism. After hearing the views of the president LCCA and Zonal presidents and the secretary, Bucha said he would continue his association with LCCA and play his role in a more effective way to serve Lahore's cricket.
He expressed his gratitude to the LCCA chief and the others for creating an atmosphere of better understanding for resolving issues in an amicable way.
