ISLAMABAD - Diamond Club will take on Classic Cricket Club in the NBP-ICA Cricket League – 2014 final to be supervised by PCB elite panel umpires.
In the first semi-final, Classic Club beat Punjab Club by 47 runs. Moeid Shaikh (62 and 2 wickets), Ali Nadim Abbasi (83) and Sajawal Riaz (67) proved too good for their opponents. Classic piled up 264-9 in 40 overs and in reply, Punjab Club was bowled out for 217. In the second semifinal, Diamond Club defeated Asif Memorial Club by seven wickets in a one-sided affair. Asif Memorial was bowled out for 180 runs. Ali Sarfraz scored 92. In reply, Diamond achieved the target in 28 overs. M Nadeem managed hat-trick for 3-19 while Attiq Shaikh took 2-8 and Immad Wasim 2-34.
