PPP has strong vote bank, says Fahim

KARACHI – President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Makhdoom Amin Fahim has claimed that his party has strong vote bank and reputed candidates contesting general elections therefore it would surely gain success with majority.
Talking to media here on Sunday, Fahim said that the PPP-P election campaign is in full swing and those who predict its defeat in polls live in fool’s paradise. He said the PPP-P is an ideological party and masses have trust in its leadership besides it has nominated well reputed candidates therefore it would sweep the elections on the basis of its five-years services rendered for the masses and being first democratic party to complete its tenure in the history of country.
The PPP-P president said that political rivals were leaving no stone unturned to defame people’s party and all conspiracies were being hatched. He however he said despite negative propagandas the PPP would emerge victorious.
He said through its reconciliation politics, the PPP-P took along all the allied parties having different ideologies which prove that it was eligible to govern and resolve the problems faced by the masses. Fahim said that the PPP is still the heart favourite and most popular political party across the country and results of the general polls 2013 will give the proof of its credibility among the masses.
Meanwhile, Central information Secretary of Peoples Labour Bureau, Ahmed Fahim dispelled the impression being created about any possible fissures in the party. In a statement, he said there were no differences among the party leadership over the issue of nominations during forthcoming polls. He said the PPP is united under the able leadership of Bilawal Zardari and enjoys absolute support and confidence of his father Asif Ali Zardari. “It is a lobby that is attempting to create despair and dejection among the party workers,” he said. He said the agenda of the PPP workers and its leaders is to fulfil the mission of Benazir Bhutto and ensure political, economic and social stability in the country.
He said the PPP, committed to the cause of democracy, enjoys optimum support of the masses and this will be established during the forthcoming polls.
