International football family supports Pakistan in lifting suspension on PFF

LAHORE - The suspension on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will be lifted soon as 195 out of 199 voting members voted in favour of lifting Pakistan’s suspension during the 72nd FIFA Congress held in Doha the other day.
But the suspension on Pakistan can be lifted once the pertinent requirements have been fulfilled by the FIFA’s Normalization Committee on PFF. First condition in this regard have been fulfilled as the Normalization Committee had been handed over the FIFA House while the NC has been working well to fulfill the remaining requirements.
During the FIFA Congress, the officials have expressed their desire to see the continuation of the development of football in Pakistan. The Pakistani delegation, which attended the FIFA Congress, includes Normalization Committee Chairman Haroon Malik, members Shahid Niaz Khokhar and Haris Azmat.
In a message from Doha, Haroon Malik said that the services of FIFA and AFC for revival of Pakistan football are unforgettable. “The world and Asian football governing bodies are very cooperative and they want Pakistan football and footballers progress once the PFF suspension is lifted. We are trying to fulfill all the necessary requirements in this regard and hopefully, Pakistan football fraternity and footballers will hear good news soon.”
It may be recalled that the Ashfaq Group had ousted FIFA’s nominated Normalization Committee and occupied the football headquarters in Lahore, which paved way for suspension on Pakistan Football Federation. Now with the sincere efforts and hard work of NC Chairman Haroon Malik, the NC not only got back the FIFA House, but will also get the Pakistan suspension lifted soon.
The sources privy to the situation have claimed that the successful diplomatic efforts of NC Chairman Haroon Malik and his team has brought Pakistan close to the long-awaited triumph.
Meanwhile, IPC Minister Dr Fehmida Mirza said that this success at FIFA Congress was a huge positive step for football community of the country. “This is a huge step forward in bringing international football back and it is something which I wanted to be done as soon as possible for the youth of the country.”
