Bahria Town Karachi to build its own dedicated interchange on M-9 Motorway

PR RAWALPINDI - Bahria Town (Private) Limited, Asia’s leading real estate developer, has arranged a separate and dedicated interchange on M-9 Motorway by entering into an agreement with FWO (Frontier Works Organization) and its subsidiary Superhighway Construction Operation and Rehabilitation Engineering (Private) Limited (SCORE) for the establishment of an interchange at Bahria Town scheme on M-9 Motorway. Bahria Town will bear the costs of construction of this mega project. Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz Hussain and Zain Malik, VCE South Bahria Town, were present at the signing ceremony which was attended by the top management of both sides.

Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz Hussain said that the agreement was another step by Bahria Town towards fulfilling its promise to the nation for delivering world-class housing societies with facilities and infrastructure at part with the modern world. The development of the interchange and related infrastructure works at Bahria Town Karachi will considerably improve the quality of life and ease of conveyance of the residents of Karachi.

Bahria Town will construct a very elaborate entry and exit plaza comprising 2 bridges, 3 underpasses, and a causeway. In addition, these structures will be complimented by a network of slip roads and approach and exit ramps. This infrastructure will complement the state-of-the-art road network within Bahria Town which also features a 400 feet wide 18 lane Jinnah Avenue which is inspired by Sheikh Zayed Road Dubai.

Work on the M-9 Interchange and related structures is due to commence immediately upon completion of necessary regulatory approvals for construction. Upon completion, the project will not only assist the commuters living in Bahria Town but shall also be a boon to travelers at large.

This complex will allow general public to easily access the amenities, comforts, entertainments recreation facilities and the modern style of development that Bahria Town Karachi offers to the public at large.

In short, signing of this agreement between FWO and Bahria Town augers very well for all concerned particularly the people of Karachi.

The proposed developments are in line with Bahria Town’s tradition of undertaking and funding infrastructure projects for the benefit of the citizens of Pakistan. Recently, Bahria Town had developed, entirely at its own cost, a flyover/underpass at Clifton Karachi. Further, Bahria Town also undertook a mammoth effort cleaning up garbage from Karachi.
