KARACHI - Police claimed to have apprehended four gangsters among 17 suspects during separate targeted raids in various parts of the city, on Thursday.
Bahadurabad police arrested a gang of bandits including a couple and a woman while recovered weapons from them. Police said that Muhammad Mehboob his wife Rukhsana and another woman of the gang Nasreen arrested when they were trying to rob a house located in Bahadurabad area.
Police said that the accused were barged into the house and held the family hostage at gunpoint while police being informed when neighbours made a call to police helpline. Police rushed the spot and managed to arrest the accused persons while registered an FIR.
Separately, Bahadurabad police arrested four suspects including Abdul Rehman, Ali Raza, Liaqut and Khan Muhammad and recovered weapons and narcotics from possession of them. Bilal Colony police claimed to have arrested an accused person namely Imran while recovered weapons from his possession. Police said that the accused person was involved in number of street crime cases while investigation is underway.
Yousaf Plaza police claimed to have arrested Lyari gangster while recovered weapons from his possession. Police said that the accused person identified as Kashif used to live in Lyari while hiding in an apartment located in FB area following the Karachi operation. Police on a tip off raided and arrested the accused person while recovered weapons from his possession.
Police said that the accused person was associated with Baba Ladla gang of Lyari and wanted to the police in various criminal cases including killing, attempt to murder, kidnapping for ransom and extortion. Police registered the case while further investigation is underway.
Surjani Town police claimed to have arrested three notorious criminals while recovered weapons from their possession. Police said that the arrested accused persons including Nawaz, Muhammad Yousf and Allah Bux while recovered weapons from their possession.
Police said that the accused persons were involved in various sort of criminal activities including robberies, street crimes and other. Police said that the rest of their accomplices were managed to flee while police registered the case and further investigation is underway.
On the other side, Mangopir police claimed to have arrested an accused namely Zafar Barohi while recovered weapons from his possession. Police suspect that the accused person was associated with the Lyari gangsters while investigation is underway. Police said that the accused person was arrested during a routine patrolling.
Zaman Town police arrested two drug paddlers while recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession. Police said that the accused persons wanted to the police in various criminal cases were arrested when police on a tip off raided at their hideout located in Korangi area while arrested both the accused persons Roshan Ali and Abdul Aleem while rest of their accomplices were managed to flee.
Similarly, Gulbahar police claimed to have arrested two drug paddlers while recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession. Police said that the accused persons were wanted to the police in different criminal cases. Police said that the accused persons were running a drug den in the locality while also wanted to the police different criminal cases.
