QUETTA - The 44th death anniversary of the subcontinent’s prominent leader, Abdus Samad Khan Achakzai alias Khan Shaheed, will be commemorated with high regard and esteem tomorrow (Saturday) throughout the country.
Rich tributes will be paid to him over his struggle for independence, democracy and rights of depressed nations. In this connection, a big public gathering will be held in Ayub Stadium Quetta to be addressed by Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, said a press release. The provincial capital has been festooned with banners, PkMAP flags and huge billboards inscribed with the images of Khan Shaheed, Mehmood Khan Achakzai and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif.
The chief objective of commemorating Khan Shaheed’s 44th death anniversary is aimed at strengthening parliament, constitution, political system, democracy, supremacy of the rule of law, and stability of democratic system through which the country can be led to the path of progress.
Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri reviewed security measures on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). He also finalised security arrangements for the visit of former PM Nawaz Sharif to Quetta where he will address a public gathering to mark Abdus Samad Khan Achakzai’s death anniversary.
The chief minister directed the security agencies to make a comprehensive security plan for Nawaz Sharif’s visit and ensure its complete implementation.
