300-kg drugs seized in Customs raid

GWADAR - Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have seized large quantity of drugs in three different operations conducted in Gwadar area of Balochistan province on Tuesday. 

Addressing a press conference at Customs House, Gwadar, Chaudry Javed, Collector Customs, Gwadar said that 300 kilogram opium and 16 kilo crystal ice, which had been hidden in fields, were seized at Raminab and Paleri areas of Gwadar while 2,568 bottles foreign liquor were seized in another operation conducted in Ormara area of Gwadar. 

The value of the seized drugs, which was to be smuggled abroad via sea, was reported to be Rs50 crore. The seized drugs were shifted to Customs House, Gwadar for further investigation. On the occasion, Assistant Collector, Customs Gwadar, Rana Humair and others authorities of Customs, Gwadar were also present. 

ANF recovers 150 Ecstasy tablets 

from accused

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Balochistan, claimed to have recovered 150 Ecstasy tablets from the possession of an alleged accused in an operation conducted in Quetta on Tuesday. According to a statement issued by the media cell of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Balochistan, 150 Ecstasy tablets (90 gram) were recovered from the possession of an alleged accused namely Saleem Khan in an operation conducted by the staff of ANF, Balochistan in Quetta. Value of the seized Ecstasy tablets was reported to be Rs315,000.  The alleged accused was taken into custody. Further investigation into the matter was underway.
