2021 Year Ender: A look back at crucial developments in Sessions court

Sessions court of Lahore has closed 543 murder cases, granted death sentences to 50 culprits, life imprisonment in 107 cases while 303 accused were also acquitted in 2021.

Additional session judge Anjum Saleemi’s court completed proceedings of 40 murder cases in which two culprits were ordered death penalties, 24 culprits were ordered life imprisonment.

Additional session judge Muhammad Jameel’s court completed proceedings of 44 murder cases whereas Additional Session Judge Ambreen Qureshi’s court wrapped up 44 murder cases throughout the year.

Additional Session Judge Muhammad Naeem’s court cleared proceedings of 22 murder cases and Additional Session Judge Muhammad Mumtaz’s court wrapped up 34 murder cases.

Additional Session Judge Saeed Ahmed Khan Mukhtar’s court completed proceedings on 37 cases while Additional Session Judge Abdul Qudoos’s court heard 30 murder cases.

Additional session judge Abdul Ghafoor’s court took up 45 murder cases whereas Additional Session Judge Muhammad Sajjad Qasim passed the verdict on 27 murder cases.

Additional Session Judge Amir Sharif Doggar’s court settled 29 murder cases and Additional session Judge Falak Sher Jasra cleared 42 murder cases.

Additional Session Judge Ikhlaq Ahmed passed verdict on 43 murder cases while Additional Session Judge Shabraiz Akhtar Raja’s court concluded 53 cases.

Additional Session Judge Qamar Yaseen Nadeem announced the judgment on 35 cases whereas Additional Session Judge Rai Muhammad Yaseen Shaheen’s court wrapped up 23 murder cases.
