Islamabad - House Business Advisory Committee (HBAC) on Tuesday decided to hold general discussion on the national budget from June 6 to June 15 2016, while Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar will wind it up followed by discussions on appropriation in respect of charged expenditures 2016-2017 on June 16, 2016.
According to a handout, it was also decided that the discussion and voting on cut motions and demand for grants, in respect of voted expenditures 2016-2017, would be taken up on 17th and 18th of June, 2016.
It was further decided that the consideration and passage of the Finance Bill, 2016 will take place on June 20, 2016, while discussion on supplementary demands for grants and appropriation 2015-2016, in respect of charged and voted expenditure and schedule of authorised expenditure 2016-2017 would take place on June 21, 2016.
It was also agreed that the sittings of the National Assembly will be held from Monday to Saturday during the budget session, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The committee was informed that the question hour session and other non-legislative matters will remain suspended during the session.
The meeting was attended by Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for Defence Production and Science and Technology, Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, and MNAs, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Syed Naveed Qamar, Dr Shireen Mehrunnisa Mazari, Sheikh Salahudin and Al-Hajj Shah Jee Gul Afridi.
