ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has postponed the federal cabinet meeting and decided to meet Chaudhary brothers, the PML-Q top men and allies of ruling PTI, in Lahore today.
According to sources, during the meeting, the prime minister would discuss with Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervez Elahi the prevailing political situation and seek their cooperation to foil the no-confidence motion the joint opposition is possibly going to file in March.
PML-Q is the PTI's ally in Punjab and the central government, however, PML-Q has been approached by opposition to seek its support in ousting the PTI government.
The PM’s meeting with PML-Q leaders would be taking place days after their meeting with PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari last week.
