Clocks reverted by one hour

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Standard Time was restored at midnight on Friday as clocks were put to the previous state by reversing one hour. Five months ago in June, the clocks were advanced by one hour, popularly called new time, putatively to save energy by using maximum amount of daylight. The new time was, thus, called Daylight Saving Time (DST) in contrast with Pakistan Standard Time (PST). From now onward, the PST will be followed nationwide. The decision of the govt to advance clocks by one hour, however, remained unpopular as it was believed to have caused a great deal of confusion.          "Staff Reporter
