‘Businessmen using bad political tricks ahead of FPCCI polls’

KARACHI - Business tycoons remain in race of power gain in the upcoming elections of Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI), The Nation has learnt.
The election in FPCCI reflects the similarities with the current political and social environment of the country as business leaders have been engaged in house trading, creating a negative impact across the world.  
Trade Development Authority of Pakistan creating trouble in the upcoming elections of Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries, said Haji Shafique-ur-Rehamn member executive committee of FPCCI while talking to The Nation.
He alleged that SM Muneer Chairman TDAP is trying to rig the upcoming election 2015 of FPCCI while using the influence and facilitating his group against the rivals, he added.  
He further blamed that a dual nationality holder is not eligible for the post of CEO TDAP which is acquired by SM Muneer who is already over age and only pass the intermediate. He pointed out that it is mandatory to fill up the slot of CEO TDAP through Public Service Commission.
On the basis of anonymity a businessman informed that the ruling group of FPPCI rules since decades and enjoying the perks of power corridors and it is very difficult for them to loose their control in house but on the other side the group which also a symbol of status-co not interested in continuation of the said group.
Prevailing situation created a storm in FPPCI which is the result of poor performance of ruling group who lost it position at every points including administration or financial side.
Business tycoons are using their full strength to take the charge of the countries leading business house, in upcoming election of FPCCI 2015.  
Sources from the business community said that both groups of the business community are not interested to accelerate the economic activity but create a mess in house which reflects the dark face of business leaders in international community.
A businessman informed The Nation The United Business Group which formed against Business Group starts working and now has gathered the large support from  many association of different cites and announced its presidential candidate on 6th of November which probably from Faisalabad or Sialkot because according to the bylaws upcoming president would elect from Punjab.
On the other side, Business Group nominated Anjum Nisar hailing from Lahore who is the one of the largest tax payer of the country as it presidential candidate.
It also to mention here that the mess in FPPCI also portrays the negative image of President FPCCI who is also elected as the President of Economic Cooperation Organisation which comprises over Afghanistan, Turkey and so many other countries of the region.
