Herbal physician killed in Peshawar

PESHAWAR - Unidentified gunmen killed a known herbal practitioner (Hakeem) hailing from the Sikh community in the provincial capital on Thursday.

Hakeem Satnam Singh was shot at his dawakhana (clinic) on Charsadda Road, the precinct of Faqirabad Police Station. The wounded hakeem died when he was taken to hospital, while the attackers escaped from the scene.

The Sikh community and people from other walks of life condemned the killing and called for arrest of the killers of Satnam Singh, who was the president of local herbal practitioners in Peshawar district.
