Justice Ali Baig, on Wednesday, took oath as acting Chief Justice of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Chief Court.

According to details, the Governor GB province Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon administered the oath during a ceremony that took place in Islamabad.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid, Chief Justice Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, Gilgit-Baltistan's Finance Minister Javed Hussain Manwa along with a large number of lawyers. 

Earlier, Justice Ali Baig was serving as a judge in Chief Court Gilgit-Baltistan.
